Available now for the first time since its release in The Vortex, we give you "Buchla California 2018" on compact disk! Complete in a sleek eco-jacket.
Initially this was released to our private X-FILES section of The Vortex, and there was so much demand, that we decided to make it available for the public.
Recorded during a time when Augustus was living alone in the San Francisco area for a top secret assignment. He brought his Buchla Music Easel and some peripheral equipment to loop and record with. The result is an album we have been enjoying for years, and are so thrilled to be able to share with you.
Now you can have your own commemorative Compact Disk of our debut album, "Buchla California 2018."
Here’s what you get:
Buchla California 2018 full color compact disk with full color jacket in cellophane wrapping

I'm late in reviewing this. I took a long overdue vacation but once I got back, I had the time to listen to it on my CD player. It's short but sweet, but that's alright. It's SO good, with my earplugs I could detect all the synths and tape work you did and it's very obvious you put a lot of work and effort into this one. This is the type of CD that's best experienced by earplugs anyway, not by playing in my car. Sure, there's plenty of beats for those who wanna shake their butts but like Kraftwerk (who I saw live last year BTW) you know that melody is essential to the best electronic music. And your work here is actually composed too, not 'manufactured' or 'slapped together' like so much of this egotistical pop tart garbage that the ninny corporate radio stations shove upon us today. I'm not a musician like yourself but I have a BA in Computer and Information Science and that's how I know. It's so good I had to play this thing three times in a row. This is an ALBUM, you just play it straight in one setting - programming your CD player to just select certain tracks randomly doesn't work on this one. It's a work of ART and your creative talents shine. Anyways, it's a wonderful CD, even better that it comes in a slipcase and not a stupid space-stealing plastic 'jewel case'. Kudos and keep it up. This is really GOOD! I love it.

I like abstract electronic music a lot where the music moves in and out and creates an other worldy place or atmosphere , so the less rhythmic a track is the more I like it. Tracks that I really liked were Deep Space Nebula and Hockey Night.

I love the sounds of the Buchla and of course the Galaxy Electric is so creative with it. This record sounds huge in both of my Subarus and I play it all the time when I'm driving. Augustus and Jacqueline are the best!

In my car stereo and set for take-off!
This slightly minimalistic but textured-enough-to-hold-one’s-interest album transports you nearly to another planet. It breathes, though, giving your thoughts and imagination room to drift.
It manages to sound vintage and futuristic at the same time and this is what gives it its other-worldly feel.
Perfect for driving, voyaging or just sitting and thinking. Whichever way, appreciating. I propose not to get to know this one too well, so it’s surprises keep coming.. enjoy your trip!
